We are delighted to announce that we have just scooped the North lincolnshire award for New Business.
It was announced last night (14th May) at the black tie gala presentation evening that we had fought off the competition and walked away with the award! A fantastic evening was had by all. Please watch out for the pictures to follow!

Hots Shoes, Cold Feet!

A new season is a great excuse to buy new shoes. Not that we girls really need an excuse
but it’s nice to have one anyway.
With so many delicious spring styles on the shelves what are the key trends we should be looking out for?
Well, Spring 2010 is all about ‘look at me’ feet. True, not many of us will be able to pull off the ten-inch platforms designed by Alexander McQueen but the trend on the catwalks this year
was clear height is right! Short guys watch out platforms are everywhere this season.
Look out for animal print wedges similar to the leopard-skin styles from Alexander Wang.
Chanel favour chunky-heeled clogs with platform soles while Prada are all about dornment on their toe straps tinkle with tiny metal baubles while ankle straps are clear and heels
coloured. Anyone of these trends will workfor you this spring so take your pick.
Colour is also set for a big comeback however nude shades are big for the start of the season with dusky pinks, greys and tans everywhere.
Red and orange are the colours for the height of the season for footwear in the midst of summer. They make a great accent for a neutral outfit but also pick out the colours from this season’s bold prints.
Don’t make the mistake of thinking that you need to match your bag to your shoes.
Let your feet take centre stage and accessorise with a neutral oversized bag instead.
Last summer stylish celebrities like Fearne Cotton and Chloe Sevigny stepped out in socks and sandals. The look continues this year.
For a super-stylish effect follow Louise Goldin’s lead and team funky metallic shoes with soft pastel socks worn over matching tights. If that feels a little too cutting edge for suburbia then try a more subtle approach.
Both Burberry and Marni match neutral slouchy socks and stacked platforms for a relaxed spring look.
High-heeled ankle boots are another key trend for spring. Team them with knee-high socks for
that ‘just stepped off the catwalk’ look à la Betsy Johnson and Lacoste.
But what about the boys? What will they be wearing?
While we girls teeter around on our platforms the male trend is in the opposite direction with thin soles and barely-there heels. Lace-ups are reworked in soft materials such as calfskin and canvas. Micro-textures are a big trend. Look for embossing and shiny contrasting inserts.
Moccasins get all sophisticated this spring and are very low cut. Perhaps it’s time for your chap to get a pedicure?
Flowery prints are a hot trend on both leather and canvas but if the eco-hippy look isn’t to your man’s tastes then seek out military-inspired styles instead.
As ever there’s a style for everyone this season, with great ideas for every look.
